Fully equipped modern vacation rentals at the doorstep of the historic town

The Barkerville Cottages are the perfect retreat any time of year. Each of our four cottages offers a wheelchair-accessible main floor, fully equipped with a queen-size bed, full bathroom, laundry, kitchen, dining, and living room facilities. The second floor offers a powder room and two additional bedrooms: one with a queen-size bed and one with two twin beds. The cottage is fully furnished, and rental includes bed linens, towels, kitchen equipment, dining ware, basic toiletries, laundry and dishwashing supplies. A television, DVD player, and Wi-Fi are also provided. The cottage porch offers a sheltered space to enjoy the fresh air, and the cottage mudroom provides a place to securely store recreational gear and extra luggage. Each cottage also has exterior outlets to plug your vehicle into in the winter.

The minimum stay requirement for all Barkerville Cottages is two nights. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Occupancy

The cottages can comfortably sleep 3-6 people, and additional guests are welcome to bring their own sleeping mats. The maximum overnight occupancy of the cottage is 8 people.

Pet Policy

Pets are welcome in Cottages #3 and #4 (sorry, no pets in Cottages #1 and #2). An additional pet fee of $25 per night, per cottage, applies, which allows up to two pets in a cottage at a time. Pets are not permitted on the furniture, including couches or beds. Pets left unattended in the cottages must be secured in a proper pet crate or carrier. Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets and properly disposing of their waste. Guests will be liable for damages or excessive cleaning caused by pets.

Location

The cottages are located at the north end of the Barkerville overflow parking lot, at the entrance to Reduction Road. Free public Wi-Fi is offered to Barkerville guests, but be aware that Barkerville is not in the range of cell phone service. Please be aware the cottages do not currently have landscaped outdoor areas other than the porches to enjoy as we continue to develop and improve the area.

Check-in/out

Check-in to the Cottages is at 3 pm. Check-out is at 11 am. After your reservation is confirmed and paid, you will receive an email three days prior to check-in with your access code to the key lockbox so you may self-check-in. For general service requests, you can contact us in advance or visit the Barkerville Visitor Centre, open from 9 am to 5 pm daily. For emergencies, our security staff are available 24/7 via radio located on the east wall of the Barkerville Visitor Centre. General service requests are only available during regular business hours.

Payment and Cancellations

Payment is due in full at the time of booking. Changes and cancellations may be made up to 24 hours in advance of the booking without penalty. For changes, cancellations, and alternative payment arrangements, please call customer service at 1-888-994-3332 ex. 0.
